Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and energetic IT Professional to provide sound technical support in all aspects of our business. The IT Professional will be responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing technological initiatives within the organization. He or she must analyze and improve technological standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.

You will work directly under the IT Director and will function as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that may impact the current and future operations of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Infrastructure Engineer and IT Director in supporting Nexus’ information systems.
  2. Maintain hardware and software security.
  3. Ensure that adequate endpoint security protection is in place.
  4. Wire network drops and maintain existing network infrastructure.
  5. Monitor servers, network, and backup systems to ensure 24/7 uptime.
  6. Support data analytics and reporting.
  7. Support individual network users.
  8. Set and maintain PC client configuration standards and set up new users.
  9. Provide troubleshooting and support for computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and projectors.
  10. Provide support for remote users.
  11. Provide maintenance on network PCs and Macs.
  12. Evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications to see if they will solve desktop issues.
  13. Function as front-end support for all incoming technical issues, and gather accurate data related to the incidents reported by end users. Escalate complex issues to the System Administrator or IT Director and non-IT related problems to the appropriate department.
  14. Support mobile devices and MDM software.
  15. Support VoIP phone system.
  16. Ensure that Nexus has appropriate software licenses and maintain asset records for warranties.
  17. Assist with workflow and automation projects to improve efficiency.
  18. Perform quality work for assigned duties based on operating procedures and responsibilities assigned to the position.
  19. Write and maintain standard work procedures.
  20. Document problems, diagnostics, interactions, next steps, and solutions in an IT ticket system.
  21. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in computer science or related field/experience
  • CompTIA A+ certification (Or willingness to achieve during employment)
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.
  • Passion for providing hands-on execution guidance for teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
